Powered by Purpose, Not Trend
We didn’t build Teachoff to chase trends—we built it to solve real problems.
Problems like:
-
Schools struggling to find reliable, quality teachers
-
Teachers feeling undervalued, underpaid, and professionally stuck
-
Students missing out due to lack of access to diverse, high-quality instruction
Teachoff exists to match the right teacher with the right classroom—and to make that match sustainable, scalable, and impactful.

Reimagining Education, One Match at a Time
Today, Teachoff is more than a platform.
It’s a global movement of educators, schools, and organizations who believe that:
-
Teachers deserve better.
-
Students deserve more.
-
Education deserves innovation.
Our goal is simple:
Make great teaching accessible—anywhere, anytime.
The world of teaching is changing—fast. Schools are struggling to find great educators. Teachers are burned out and under-supported. Teachoff was born to rebuild the bridge between great teachers and the institutions that need them most.

Why Teachoff Exists
We are not a staffing agency. We are a cross-border teaching solutions provider.
We are a movement empowering teachers to lead, and helping schools deliver better education—across languages, cultures, and time zones.
A Movement Born From Classrooms
Teachoff didn’t begin as a tech startup or a business venture—it started with real teachers helping other teachers.
Over time, what began as simple weekend meetups evolved into cross-border school partnerships, teacher exchange programs, and bilingual teaching innovations that spanned continents.
Through it all, one belief stayed constant:
Great education is always built on great teaching.

From Roots to Rebrand
Teachoff is the evolved identity of the California International Teachers Association (CITA), whose roots trace back to 2007.
It began as a grassroots initiative—a small volunteer network of foreign educators in Tai’an, China, known as the Tai’an Sunday Club, where teachers gathered weekly to support one another through teaching exchange, language learning, and cultural engagement.

As the years passed, this passionate community transformed into a professional organization—CITA—dedicated to supporting bilingual educators, language schools, and international teaching initiatives across California and beyond.
In 2024, CITA rebranded as Teachoff, integrating nearly two decades of real-world insights into a bold new platform—built to empower teachers and redefine the future of education.
